THIS IS LOCALLY CALLED “DEAD MAN’S HILL” FOR MANY YEARS. MANY A KID BROKE HIS “SOMETHING” GOING DOWN THIS HILL ON A BIKE, SKATES, RUNNING, ETC. DURING THE 70’S – 90’S

man….. I would sit at the top of this hill and waited till the light turned green on st annes…. in A Team van I stole from work, full speed with friends reaching at 80 miles per and doing a jump at the bottom clearing st annes ave. talk about crazy….one slip and we would have smacked either side of the street killing us all. this was in the mid 80s

About 1970 Dead Man’s Hill so much fun. I rolled down. The hill on a kitchen table top Turned upside down and hit a telephone pole rip my butt cheek open.
Good time’s!!!

I grew up at the top of the hill. 840 Eagle. In the winter the big kids would station themselves at the bottom of the hill and keep us and our sleds from jetting into St. Ann’s Ave. Those of us who lived in the area called it St. John’s Hill.
