Great trip back in time…explained many things I never knew about. I grew up on E. 2nd Street between Avenue C and Cortelyou Road (1954-1970). As I recall, however, “Cousin Brucie” lived (in the 1960s) on Ocean Parkway, in what was THEN a lovely new white apartment building. In fact, it was outside that building that Patty Duke filmed a movie, the name of which escapes me at this time.
Thanks for the wonderful information and memories!
