I grew up most of early years on 42nd Street between 9 and 10th Ave. First at 952 then 946 both apartment buildings my friends and I spent many an hour playing slap ball& punch ball down the block near 10th Avenue. Also stick ball in the park with friends like Billy Abiuso, Daniel Harris and Ron Honig.
