My guess is that this is a 1940 Oldsmobile.

It is either a Pontiac or an Oldsmobile from the late 1940’s. Just a shame it was altered from it’s original design. While it looks nice, it should have been kept in original condition.

I cheated & looked in the Internet, but it looks like the car was a 1940 Olds. It does look good w/the Cragar SS wheels, which gives it a 60s hot rod vibe & is preferable to those huge custom wheels in fashion today.

Speaking of name that car & forgotten NY, here’s a blog post from the Hemmings Motor News about NYC traffic pictured in May 1973:

LOOKS LIKE A 1941 OLDSMOBILE WHICH BEEN SCREWED UP TO THE POINT OF BEING WORTHLESS……1940/41 OLDS HAD THE FIRST PRODUCTION AUTOMATICS,WW-2 KILLED THAT IDEA AND THE AUTOMATICS WERE INSTALLED IN M3A & M4A TANKS AND M3 GRANT/LEE TANKS…

Whatever make it is, it’s sure a lot cooler than those soulless, fibreglass pea-pods they build today.

My vote is for a 1940 Pontiac Torpedo 8, 4 door Touring Sedan based on the read door window configuration, but then again most GM’s of the same year look similar.

I believe you mean Rt 107, unless there’s an old county designation for that part of Town Path. 🙂 No idea on the car but I love seeing it in our local parades.
