HEAVENLY TUNES, Mott Haven

by Kevin Walsh

Detail from entrance to an apartment building at Alexander Avenue and East 138th, Mott Haven, Bronx. There are other cartouches of musical angels at the entrance. Perhaps the builder was involved in music somehow.

The cartouche may have a connection to the piano factories that used to be in Mott Haven but are no longer there.
