FORGOTTENTOUR #125: Historic Flushing

To wrap up the ForgottenTour 2017 season, for the first time over a decade FNY will show off the historic sites of Downtown Flushing, including a pair of 17th Century buildings (Quaker Meetinghouse and Bowne House); Flushing’s Town Hall, now a cultural center; the house belonging to a 19th Century applied science pioneer; historic churches and monuments; and much more. Meet in front of Flushing Town Hall (pictured in title card), Northern Boulevard and Linden Place, five blocks from the #7 Main Street subway at Roosevelt Avenue.

WHEN: Sunday, November 19th, meet at 12 NOON; tour begins shortly after

WHERE: Meet in front of Flushing Town Hall, Northern Boulevard and Linden Place, five blocks from the #7 Main Street station at Roosevelt Avenue. Walk north from the station on Main Street, cross Northern Boulevard at the light, then walk 2 blocks east to Town Hall at Linden Place. 

HOW MUCH: $20; $15 for Greater Astoria Historical Society members

HOW LONG: approximately 2 hours

TERRAIN: a few mild hills. Rain or shine, within reason. Heavy rain or extreme cold will postpone.
