"liter"," huor" : Brooklyn literacy, not so good. The car parked in front of that sign of iliteracy? Hard to say as the photo lacks detail. All one can say is that it's blue with a red stripe. I hope the owner can read road signs better than he can spell. And no I'm not being insensitive to dyslectics. As for the image presented on the brick, it looks like a generic image of any runabout built between the brass era & the '20's (which was aproximately the life span of the Model T Ford, 1908 -27). As my geometry teacher used to say: They're similar but not identical.

Worked up there as a Police Officer in 1984, hasn't changed much. Once had to take junkie off W 181 St who thaught he was sniffing cocaine that was falling from the Sky (It was snowing). I and my partner was sitting up the Block watching this idiot. I beeped the Siren. The idiot looked up, lost his balance, and fell down and broke his arm. We took him to Columbia Pres and laughed all the way back to the Stationhouse

I used to work around the corner from there when Hagstrom Map was at it's last native NY location (City View Plaza), before being sold to Kappa Publishing Group outside of Philly.

I had a friend whose father was a retired cop, and he worked security at that Dime branch in the mid-70s. If I'm not mistaken, they filmed scenes for "Dog Day Afternoon" there. At least that's what I remember him saying so long ago. Love the site!

450 67th St was purchased by "St Matthew's Churches" of Tulsa OK. According to wikipedia it's a bit questionable if it's a "real" church or an evangelical mail-order operation that needs a couple of physical locations for tax purposes.

If you actually read everything, you would have known that this was Jersey City, and not everything here Kevin does is just in NYC only.
