Sackett Street, which is usually found in the pleasant stretches of Cobble Hill and the increasingly tonified Park Slope, also has this dead end stretch off Bond, the at ends at the noxious and noisome Gowanus Canal. It hasn’t been paved for a number of years and its Belgian blocks have once again emerged. A curved-mast lamppost without its support bracket, dating to the 1950s, futilely lights this forlorn stretch.
