I was wondering about the present owner of 44 Stuyvesant street. I knew the house very well during the late 1950’s and early 60’s. II spent many a happy hour and studied piano there with Mildred Jamison Dassett and her husband, the architect Myron DASSETT.
I am Myron Dassett’s niece. We maybe saw him once a year when he visited in Minneapolis. One year for Christmas he gave me a book called “Pictures to Grow Up With” Don’t know what happened to it over the years but I have looked online with no results. I never met Mildred but I got the impression she was a classy lady. They are both buried in our family plot in Minneapolis. At some point I will be interred next to them. I would have loved to see their home but it didn’t happen.Margaret
