Just one of the marvelously rendered and colored signs that you see on some of the Art Deco apartment houses along the Grand Concourse and other locales in the Bronx. I’ve seen some of these in Brooklyn as well.

These are visible on many apartment buildings in Inwood as well.
Don’t forget the Civil Defense signs on the buildings indicating the availability of the basement as a fallout shelter.
There are still so many of those around, I tend to ignore them
