SADLY, this painted sidewalk sign for glazier Ideal Glass at #20-22 East 2nd Street near 2nd Avenue (that’s a lot of “2”‘s) has been painted over, giving the space a double mystery. The painted sign advertised the glazier with owners Samuel Cohen’s Son and Milton Deutsch. The sign appears to date to the 1950s or 1960s.
Since later in 2020, the sign was completely painted over in gray, and so far I’ve been stumped about what business occupies the space without actually walking by and stopping in. If anyone knows…Comments are open.
