OMG!!! What does one do when one finds a skull???? Ever find out the owner???
Well, Hart’s Island is right next door– that’s where unidentified remains are sent, isn’t it?

among the notables buried in that cemetery are the amatos, the couple that founded and ran the amato opera on the bowery next to cbgb’s. they lived on the island for the last portion of their lives
