Painted ads on the sides of buildings are almost a lost art, though the remnants of such signs can still be seen, in some cases, over 100 years after they first appeared.
A couple of candidates for such postmortem fame are here on an apartment building on 4th Avenue just north of 86th Street in beautiful Bay Ridge. Hey teenage ForgottenFans, come back in 50 or 60 years, and see how these have fared. I’ll bet you’ll be able to see at least some remnant of them if other ads haven’t taken their place.

I’d actually be surprised if these sign lasted that long (I’ll be long gone by then lol). The paints used for the older signs probably had a lot more staying power.
Chalbis? No thanks. I’ll have a chadronnay.
