AMNY FORGOTTEN NY ARTICLE

AMNY FORGOTTEN NY ARTICLE

I had about an hour phone conversation with Lisa L. Colangelo at Newsday/AMNY recently, and photographer Charles Eckert accompanied the recent FNY tour on Roosevelt Island (September 2019). The resulting article in AMNY appeared in the October 10, 2019 print edition. FNY thanks Lisa and Charles on the article, in which I discuss FNY’s origins and inspirations that date back to 1962.

Nice article, always good to see a fellow bay ridge guy in the newspaper in a good way.

Nice article! Have you ever done a story with the pictures your dad took of the VZB construction? If not, that might be an interesting series to read and see.

Although my time in NYC was brief, I have a love for the city and enjoy learning its history. Love this website, and appreciate your passion for the past. Congrats on the article!
